Bluey's World Adventure Weekend: What We Loved, Learned, and Think You'll Love Too

We were all so excited for our weekend, we planned trains and ferries and set off on our adventure. The highlight was definitely Bluey's World. From the moment we stepped in, it felt like we'd walked straight onto the set! The characters, staff, props, colours, the details, the little surprises everywhere were amazing. The dance party especially was so fun for everyone! Riding the Wheel of Brisbane gave us the most beautiful views of the river, South Bank, and the city. South Bank always has that relaxed fun energy that you can't help but love. I guess it wasn't just one activity that made it special, it was a full weekend of memory-making!

Perfect for families with kids of all ages — we had children aged 2, 9, and 14, and every one of them found something they loved. From imaginative play at Bluey's World to exploring South Bank, good food, and a bit of adventure, it really caters to different personalities and ages (adults too!) without anyone missing out.

Watching all three kids completely connect with the activities and each other, laughing, exploring, and playing together in Bluey's World was something really special. No screens, no distractions, just fun and joy!

Highly recommend Happy Pops too, sitting together and chatting about our favourite parts of the day while enjoying our delicious creations was really sweet! 

Located at Northshore Brisbane (Bluey's World) and South Bank (Wheel of Brisbane, dining, parklands). Both areas are easily accessible by public transport — we took trains and ferries, which added to the adventure! Parking available at both locations if driving. South Bank is incredibly family-friendly with accessible pathways, clean facilities, and everything close together. 

Genuinely works for all ages. Our 2-year-old was mesmerized by Bluey's World, our 9-year-old loved the interactive play and dance party, and our 14-year-old (who we thought might be "too cool" for Bluey) was fully engaged and laughing. The weekend balances activities so there's something for everyone without anyone feeling bored or dragged along.

This is a weekend adventure to ensure this offers the full weekend energy and suit families full schedules.

But if you can swing weekdays during school holidays, you'll avoid peak crowds at Bluey's World.

We loved that the weekend felt like a proper getaway without actually leaving Brisbane — the planning, the train/ferry rides, the anticipation all added to the experience. 

Honestly, the experience delivered exactly what we hoped for. If we're being picky, having a few more shaded areas at outdoor South Bank sections would be great for hot Brisbane days, but the variety of indoor/outdoor activities meant we could easily adjust our plan based on weather and energy levels.

Bring:

• Water bottles (refill stations at South Bank)
• Comfortable walking shoes (you'll be exploring!)
• Sunscreen and hats for outdoor South Bank time
• Camera/charged phone (so many photo opportunities!)

Don't forget:

• Book Bluey's Adventure Weekend in advance (it's not only timed entry and can sell out, but there are limited spots due to this all inclusive package)
• Read the 
• Plan your ferry/train journey as part of the adventure (kids LOVE this!)
• Leave space in your schedule for spontaneous stops and play
