January 15, 2026 [SPARK POP](https://sparkpop.au/author/spark-pop) CONTENTS [What's Roaring at Jurassic Zoo](https://sparkpop.au/australian-reptile-parks-jurassic-zoo#queensland) 0min read SHARE ### Summer holidays are here, and if you're searching for an experience that combines education, adventure and serious fun, Australian Reptile Park has pulled out all the stops. From 20 December 2025 to 2 February 2026, the park transforms into Jurassic Zoo — a prehistoric playground where life-sized dinosaurs roam, hands-on activities await, and every moment is packed with Triassic-level excitement. ##### The best part? Every zoo entry ticket includes a mountain of FREE inclusions that'll keep your crew entertained all day long. No hidden costs, no surprise add-ons — just pure, dino-powered adventure. 🦕 What's Roaring at Jurassic Zoo #### Step back millions of years and come face-to-face with towering, roaring dinosaurs that'll make your kids feel like they've actually travelled through time. These aren't static displays, they're impressive, life-sized creatures that spark imagination and create unforgettable photo opportunities. Perfect for dinosaur-obsessed kids (and let's be honest, most of them are!). ## Roarsome Family Fun **Dino Dig Experience** Got a budding palaeontologist on your hands? The Dino Dig lets kids get their hands dirty as they uncover fossils and bones, just like real scientists. It's the kind of hands-on activity that keeps children engaged for ages, and secretly teaches them about patience, discovery and prehistoric life while they're having a blast. **Daily Dino Dance Party** Every morning kicks off with the Dino Dance Party, where your little explorers can stomp, roar and groove alongside their favourite prehistoric pals. It's high-energy fun that gets the wiggles out early and sets the tone for an action-packed day. **Dino Discovery Challenge** Can your kids leap like a velociraptor? Screech like a pterodactyl? Balance like a stegosaurus? The Dino Discovery Challenge puts their prehistoric skills to the test in this wild, interactive adventure that's equal parts silly and awesome. **FREE Face Painting** Because what's a day at the zoo without transforming into your favourite creature? The free face painting station adds that extra splash of magic to the day, with fun designs for all ages. **Zookeeper Talks & Animal Encounters** Beyond the dinosaurs, Australian Reptile Park is still home to incredible real-life animals. Catch free daily zookeeper talks to learn fascinating facts about Australia's wildlife, from reptiles to mammals. The hands-on animal interactions give kids the chance to meet creatures up close — an experience that builds empathy, curiosity and respect for the natural world. **Elvis the Croc's Daily Feeds** No visit to Australian Reptile Park is complete without meeting Elvis, Australia's crankiest (and most famous) crocodile who just turned 60!  Watch this massive saltwater croc in action during his daily feeds — it's thrilling, educational, and guaranteed to leave everyone talking about it on the drive home. You'll catch the Dino Dance Party and have more space to explore before it gets busy. **Pack smart:** Sunscreen, hats, water bottles and comfortable shoes are non-negotiable. The park has plenty of shade, but you'll be walking and exploring for hours. **Check showtimes:** Plan your day around the zookeeper talks and Elvis's feeding times so you don't miss the highlights. Everything's included with your ticket, it works for ages 2 to 12 (and dinosaur-loving adults), and it's the kind of outing that becomes part of your family's holiday story.
